Recreational activities abound!  The county maintains two major park systems that offer two distinct experiences for those wishing to get outside. 

  • Robert Westrick Memorial Park (aka County Park) – 50+ acre facility featuring:

    • 1+ mile asphalt fitness path,

    • two playgrounds,

    • two tennis courts,

    • six pickleball courts,

    • corn hole facility,

    • outdoor swimming pool,

    • baseball/softball complex,

    • soccer fields,

o   covered picnic areas.

  • Camp KYSOC – 120+ acre facility featuring:

    • 1+ miles of asphalt and natural surface trails under a tree canopy,

    • handicap accessible playground,

    • covered picnic areas,

    • indoor swimming pool,

o   seven-acre fishing lake.

General Butler State Park offers nearly 800 acres to explore, including a number of amenities:

  • 10+ miles of hiking & biking trails,

  • 30-acre lake for fishing and non-powered boating,

  • campground,

  • disc golf course,

  • picnic areas including multiple stone shelters,

  • playgrounds,

–       tennis courts.
