The Solid Waste Department of Carroll County works with the State of Kentucky tracking and cleaning illegal dumps. The department also works with volunteer groups such as Adopt A Highway and with Class D Inmates to eliminate roadside litter as well as follow up on all Nuisance Complaints.
The Flood Plain Manager for Carroll County is responsible for determining if a property is located in a flood zone and inspects and issues permits for construction within the flood plain as well as in or along streams or rivers.
